From Humble Beginnings
Jack Mackey founded Superior Heating & Cooling in Normandy, MO in 1972.
His vision was simple: gather a team of top-notch HVAC technicians that could offer unmatched residential HVAC services. For decades, the company consistently delivered quality services to local homeowners, always placing quality work and customer service before short-term profits.
In November 2008, it was time for a move to Bridgeton, Missouri. With more space to better serve the area. Since then, we have opened a location in Lake St. Louis, MO and operate a fleet of specialized trucks that help our NATE-certified technicians deliver the services homeowners need, when they need them, including:
- Repair of air conditioning systems
- Routine maintenance of heating and cooling systems, including replacing air filters
- Installation and repair of ductless mini-split system
- Improvement of indoor air quality through installation of high-efficiency HVAC systems
- Installation of official manufacturer’s replacement parts
- Installation and repair of heating systems
- Maintenance of heat pumps, heaters, compressors, heat exchangers, and boilers
- Installation of automated Ecobee thermostats
In June 2022, we celebrated 50 years in business and that fall we launched our plumbing division to continue growing our business and better serve our valued customers and their homes needs. We operate a team of plumbers with years of experience to provide a variety of services including:
- Drain cleaning and clogs
- Sump pumps
- Installation and repair of water heaters and tankless water heaters
- Backflow testing
- Septic services
- Water softener systems
- Remodel of kitchen and bathrooms
- Garbage disposals
Our commitment to excellence is why we are authorized contractors and distributors for Spire and Ameren and are also factory trained to install heating and cooling products like Bryant HVAC equipment.
Three Generations of Superior Service
The Mackey family has been getting it done right since 1972. Jack Mackey’s son, Alan, is the current president of our company. Alan brings with him not just 40+ years of experience to the St. Louis HVAC industry, but also continues to build on the principles his father built the company on. Alan’s son, Andrew, is continuing the family tradition at Superior Service as the third generation of the Mackey family to be in the business.
